Welcome, y’all, to my first ever blog post. Naturally Natalie Eng is an everything faith and wellness blog and I’m so glad you’re here!
Two of my favorite things are prayer and peonies. They are both seemingly simple, yet can be stunningly complex. They both can brighten someone’s day, yet are given at good times and bad. They both require some tending to, but when you take notice, they can bloom beautifully. If I were in a room with nothing but prayer and a bouquet of peonies, 1) the room would obviously be more lively, buy 2) I think I would truly be at peace. Other than being a few of my favorite things (did anyone else read that in Julie Andrew’s voice from the Sound of Music?), I think they make a good representation of what this faith and wellness blog can be. Something easy and pretty and pleasant.
I wanted to start this faith and wellness blog to help (try to) talk about my two biggest passions- faith and wellness- and how they go hand in hand with being a Christian. There are so many ways that they do!
As a Christian girl in my early twenties, I often struggle with life in general and how it aligns with my faith. I feel best when I’m closely centered around God and I usually am most able to do that when I’m eating right, sleeping right, and overall living right. Of course, that’s easier said than done. But pursuit, not perfection, is the point.
I find peace in knowing that God gives me all the days of my life to keep trying to do better without judgement. Life is a journey. What would we learn if there weren’t ups and downs along the way? The excitement and joy should come from knowing that it does get better, God is for us not against us, and no matter where you are or where you’ve been, it is never too late to put a better foot forward.
I am here, writing this, because I want to push myself out of my comfort zone, share my passions, and grow in my faith (see my post on that here). Now disclaimer, I am not an expert in these things, but I am passionate about them.
I am excited to keep posting content, in the meantime, I am more than happy to get in touch with anyone reading this about personal comments, concerns, prayers, or just to chat.
