“Have Faith. Trust Jesus.” An Inspirational Short Story

“Have Faith. Trust Jesus.” An Inspirational Short Story

You know those crazy coincidental moments in life where you truly feel God’s presence? This is one of those powerful moments and I hope it is an inspirational short story to you!

Have you ever had that feeling when something so coincidental happens that it just gives you chills? It might not even be something majorly significant, but it is just so perfectly timed that you can’t help but laugh out loud? That happened to me the other day and this is one of those stories that I just had to share.

A few days ago, my boyfriend and I were driving from Houston to Austin. If you’ve ever driven on 71 in the middle of the day on a Sunday, you know the roads are pretty empty. We were listening to a podcast called The Porch, which, if you aren’t familiar with it, is a sermon-based podcast directed to young adults and college students. This is something I really like doing with him because it always leads us to deep, meaningful conversations.

At one point, we had it paused so we could discuss (the more interesting the podcast, the more frequent the pauses) and we were talking about some of the fears we had in our lives this past semester; fears about ourselves, our shortcomings, the future, etc…all of the sudden, I noticed that on the big semi truck in front of us (and there were hardly any other cars on the roads that day), faintly written in the dust on the back of it were the words:

Have Faith. Trust Jesus.

I SWEAR they had not been there the second before…or at least, we both hadn’t noticed, but now they stood out so clearly to us! We both started laughing and couldn’t believe it! This message had literally appeared right in front of us just as we were discussing  the fears we had…

It was the perfect reminder that that was all we needed to do: have faith and trust Jesus. Pretty simple.

Sometimes we get so caught up in our own heads that we forget that God is here for us at the end of the day and here to guide us where we need to go. On that day, I truly felt God with us and I just love little moments like that.

So nice to read this. God is everywhere and we need to feel. Need not to say He acts in mysterious way in every possible way. He never leaves us alone just we need to realize his presence and believe in him. Thanks for sharing. .

Nice read… Because we’re human, we carry the burden when we’re not meant to. I would like to say I’m an advocate of faith and trusting Jesus…but sometimes, it’s not that easy Bc Sometimes my mind reacts to situations that’s uncomfortable Because who likes being in an uncomfortable situation, right?

I agree that God definitely works in mysterious ways. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been reminded of his presence at the perfect time! Thanks for the reminder to have faith! Melissa

Love this! I can’t count the times God has been there in my life and showed his divine hand. Jesus definitely works in mysterious ways. He never fails to be there when we need him. Whether it’s in a small way reminding us of his ever constant presence, or in a major life defying jaw dropping miracle.
