Benefits of Celery Juice + 3 Easy Blender Recipes

Top benefits of celery juice, plus 3 easy recipes to make celery juice that DON’T require a juicer! Spice up your celery juice with flavors like apple, pear ginger, and  lemon!

Celery juice has been an OG health staple for years, but is just recently back in the spotlight. It’s a great form of medicine and nourishment to the body, mind, and the skin- the body’s biggest organ.

Celery juice has so many benefits and people swear by it! Of course, there’s no guarantees, but if you have an overall healthy lifestyle, celery juice can be a great healing addition to add some brightness to your routine! Here’s a look at just some of the benefits of celery juice…

Benefits of Celery Juice:

-Acts as an anti-inflammatory, so decreases bloating

-High in fiber and aids in digestion

-Lowers cholesterol and blood pressure

-Regulates blood sugar and can help reduce sugar cravings

-Hydrates skin (totally clears my skin up if I’m having a breakout within a few days of drinking it)

-Detoxes the liver

-Can fight disease and supports overall health

Although celery juice is most effective cold pressed, it’s easy to reap the benefits of celery juice by making it at home. You can get organic celery stalks from the store or your local farmers market. Wash as you use it, then you can just put it in a blender with some water (try coconut water if you wanna get fancy), blend on high, and enjoy!

Tip: If you don’t like pulp (unpopular opinion, but I personally do), you can strain it in a nut milk bag or strainer after it’s blended! (Use code “natalieeng” for 10% off a nutbag at Ellie’s Best!) However, if you blend at least 45 seconds- 1 minute, there isn’t much pulp and its a nice, frothy consistency. These, of course, also work in a juicer.

1. Celery stalks and some water (see recipes below for how to add flavor)

I like celery juice by itself, but if you are not a fan, try these easy recipes…

Celery and Apple:

-1 cup water

-2 stalks celery

-1/2 green apple

-1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

Celery and Lemon:

-1  cup water

-2 stalks celery

-Squeeze 1/2 lemon

-Optional pinch of Himalayan pink salt

Celery, Pear and Ginger:

-1 cup water

-2 stalks celery

-1/2 pear

-1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled

Don’t forget, if you want to strain it, it’s easy with a Nut Milk bag (I love mine! Use code “natalieeng” for 10% off a nutbag at Ellie’s Best!)

Happy juicing! Let me know if you have any comments, I’d love to hear them!

Omgosh! I had no idea that celery could be put in a blender! I thought it was only for juicing! Thanks so much for the info – I will buy it on my next grocery store trip and blend it with some avocado, wheatgrass and spirulina powder along with some greek yogurt for a healthy green smoothie!

I loved this post! I had never thought to make celery juice before. I do know celery is healthy, but I usually don’t like it plain, so it stays off the menu. I will definitely try one of your celery juice recipes that you add. Thanks! Candice
